Is delivery Included?
We have changed our UK delivery charges due to customer feedback and have reduced our delivery charges to be £3.95 on all orders under £50.00
all orders over £50.00 now are available with free postage unless you request an engineer delivery on a scooter or wheelchair. See accompanied delivery.
We can now deliver to selected countries in Europe and further afield - see options in shopping basket for countries we ship to
When can I expect delivery?
We try to despatch Spare parts the same day they are ordered
Larger items such as scooters should normally be despatched within 3 working days
If choosing an accompanied delivery we will contact you with a confirmed date, delivery is normally within 7 days and often under 5 days , we will confirm this with you subject to location
Will my electric scooter arrive fully assembled?
Only if you have selected the Accompanied Delivery Option (this is defaulted on most scooters)
This means that your new mobility product will be delivered to your door and assembled. The delivery person will go through the operations of the mobility product and show you how to use it, store it and even to charge it when required. Our staff will ensure that you are entirely comfortable with your mobility product before they leave and they will even take the packaging away with them! When this option is chosen we will contact you shortly after your order has been placed and inform you when the delivery will be scheduled,
If you select the standard delivery
If you are happy with your choice of mobility product and don't feel that you need someone to go through it all with you, you can opt for a "standard delivery". With the standard delivery option, included in the price you will still have the mobility product delivered to your door but it will be sent by a professional carrier. You will need to be able to un-box the product yourself and dispose of the packaging. Don't forget, we are always available on the telephone to help if you get stuck! please note that the delivery driver may not be able to bring the box inside ,This is called kerbside delivery.If this is not suitable then you must choose the accompanied delivery option which is defaulted when choosing selected items including scooters.
Do I require insurance?
Mobility products open up whole new avenues of opportunity in both the ability to get out and about and to become more mobile around your home. It is therefore of the greatest importance that you are comprehensively protected against any eventuality such as having an accident, your product stolen, damaging someone else's property or even bumping in to them and causing them an injury. The financial consequences of such an incident can sometimes be substantial and you could be held liable for legal claims and costs made against you. This is why, although not compulsory, Discount scooters always recommends our premier care plan, which also covers public liability up to £2 million. This policy costs from £79.80
What happens if my electric scooter develops a fault?
Your electric scooter is covered by a one-year's manufacturers warranty and supported by ourselves. Depending on the fault we would normally arrange for an engineer to call or to arrange the mobility scooter to be collected for repair.
Do you offer terms to pay on finance or using my Motability allowance?
Sorry but we are unable to offer Finance terms. Our primary objective is to offer choice and value ,The discount prices shown are only available via our Internet division and are for boxed or engineer delivery only, paid by Credit /Debit card American Express,Visa /Mastercard or PayPal
Do I Pay VAT
Individuals who are chronically sick or disabled and whose products are for personal use ans where the products are made available to a disabled person for their own personal or domestic use may be eligible for VAT exemption. for more info on this see VAT Link
Can I buy online?
If you wish to place an order you can complete by adding to your basket. . All your private data will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. You should see a solid padlock in your browser status bar to indicate that encryption is taking place. we prefer all orders regardless of size to be placed online
Returns procedure
In the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us in a new unused condition with its original packaging within 14 days and receive a full refund. If you require us to collect, this will be charged at cost. All returns must have authorisation by ourselves. Any item returned without an authorisation number will be refused.
